Repair & Replacement Parts
The Pierce Winch incorporates a powerful worm gear design to offer reliable pulling characteristics one would expect from a winch. It has been used across a broad spectrum of industries and all over the globe. From vehicle recovery to oil-field production to off-roading the odds are great you have seen this winch. Thousands of these are in the field today with many of the original designs still in action. The winch is a product of over 30 years of continual improvement and provides a timeless design. In fact, one of the best things about this winch is the availability of replacement parts and ability to work on them in the field. This winch can be configured to run on 12 Volts, 24 Volts, 110 Volts, or Hydraulics. The stall rating starts at 7,500 lbs. (110 Volt option) and goes up to 12,500 lbs. The solenoid now included is a single style compact solenoid which makes replacing much easier. The winch comes with a special blend of grease already applied to the inside. Grease zerks are included on the clutch housing to keep the clutch working smoothly. The winch has a simple mounting pattern where eight total bolts are inserted into the front and back of each housing. This allows for easy fabrication of custom mounts and efficient insertion into applications. (Note: Always be certain to use all mounting bolts when installing this winch.) The 110 Volt version has the option of either a momentary or continuous switch. The 12 and 24 Volt versions are wireless ready and come standard with a rugged and ergonomically designed rubber toggle switch remote.

A very good resource for how to properly maintain your winch can be viewed to the right. In the video Chris explains the fundamentals to taking proper care and maintaining your winch. This will help extend the life of your winch dramatically and save you money by not having to replace worn out and abused parts.
Be sure to check that you are following the maintainance directions outlined in your winch manual. Like Chris points out in the video, it is not good for any machine to sit without being run. Your winch needs to be run at least every 6 months to keep the gears properly lubricated. The health of your battery is a vital part in the performance of your winch. Follow all manufacturers recommendations for maintaining the health of your battery pack. A good ground is essential as Chris explains in the video. This is by far the most common cause for your winch not to work. Be sure you are running a ground directly back to the battery. The longer the run, the larger the wire needs to be. We recommend using the same size as your hot wire.
Pierce Electric 12,500 lb. Industrial Winch Parts Break Down
The parts break down below labels all of the parts to your winch that you might need to replace. You are able to move your mouse to the part label and by clicking it will add that product to your cart. This allows you to quickly find and checkout with the parts you need for your winch. It is recommended that if you have a part that is wearing out frequently to contact us for examination. This is very uncommon but when it does occur it is usually an issue involving the operation or use of the winch. Also, if you notice changes in your winch such as grinding, or an unfamiliar noise, immediatly cease use and contact us for further instruction.
Pierce Electric 12,500 lb. Industrial Winch Parts Sections
Most of the time when you need to replace parts, it won't be just a bolt here or a bolt there. Often times you will need to replace several parts. This section houses links and explanations of when to look at changing out areas on your winch.
The most common area needing to be changed out on a winch are the solenoids and the motor. You can purchase them seperately, but often times if the winch has been sitting around for a very long time, or if it has been exposed to a lot of moisture or water you will want to change both of them out. We recommend that if you rely on this winch for your business and cannot afford any down time that you keep a spare solenoid and motor. This way if one does go out on you business can continue quickly and without delay.
Generally the electric components are going to have the highest rate of going out on any winch. We have spent over 3 decades finding and securing reliable and lasting motors and solenoid assemblies for our winches. If you keep your electronics dry, keep the terminals and conections clean, and use a
switch to avoid shorts, you should expect a good life out of your solenoids and motor.
