The HDH has improved and is now the XD. The Minute Man XD unit offers exceptional reach and options. Plus it comes with a rear bumper. Minute Man wheel lifts go places where full-sized wreckers only dream of. Operation is done from inside your truck with the included six button hand control. With a lifting capacity of 3,500 lbs and towing capacity of 7,500 lbs Minute Man can be installed on 8,600 lb. or heavier GVWR truck (never exceed the manufacturer's GVW rating). The Minute Man HDH can be installed on Ford, *Chevy or Dodge long bed or short bed trucks.
Needing parts? The parts forward of the boot are compatible with it's sister, the HDH. The parts to the rear of the boot are not compatible (i.e. extension etc.).

Recommended Equipment - Front Counter Weight Kit: 400 lbs. of balance that mounts under the truck's front frame

- XD65LB: Fits all long bed trucks. Has 65" of reach
- XD65SB: Fits only short bed trucks. Has 65" of reach

Minute Man XD Video

Why choose the XD? - The XD is the next generation of the HDH - it shares the same base frame, elbow, boom, and pump system
- The XD is the answer to our customers suggestions and requests
- The XD has longer reach
- The XD has external head hoses which are still protected from damage, but much easier to replace the eventual broken hose
- The XD has an extension mounted hose box which eases eliminates slack and keeps hose routing simple
- The XD makes use of composite bushings in the head wherever possible reducing the need for maintenance and lubrication
- The XD has a totally new larger center pin design which is stronger than ever
- Current customers with XD & HDH lifts strongly prefer the XD's new features and durability
- The HDH has internal head hoses which are protected from vehicle damage, however when a hose fails it is more difficult to replace
- The HDH has shorter reach than the XD
- Service on the HDH is more difficult and time consuming that on the XD
- The XD is more durable, stronger, and easier to maintain than the HDH
- The XD includes the Minute Man Rear bumper which features chain storage pockets, D-rings, and an LED license plate lamp

- The HDH lifts are special order only as the are considered obsolete by the XD
Recommendations - We recommend a counter balance of no less than 400 lbs. This can be in the form of a weight attached to the front of the truck under the chassis and bolted to the frame directly under the radiator. You can also replace the front bumper with a weighted version.
- It is recommended to add three springs, SuperSpring or air bags to the rear of the truck. The Minute Man is easily installed and can be transferred to other trucks in your fleet.
- The hydraulic pump is self-contained and pre-installed and wired to the wheel-lift for easy servicing. The Minute Man is powered by one 12V battery. All functions are powered by hydraulics (boom UP/DOWN, fold IN/OUT, jaws OPEN/CLOSE). The XD differs from the original wheel lift model because the jaws or L-Arms are hydraulic powered whereas the Original is spring actuated.
